The person who submitted the winning name is my friend, Camelia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had TONS of suggestions!  Twenty, to be accurate.  That's a lot of names to pick from!

Justin and I spent some time trying out ALL the names, multiple times, on the cat.  Some names he sorta reacted to, some he totally ignored.  There were so many names that I personally loved and I was hoping he would make it easy for us to find one that fit.

It wasn't until after a rainshower came through town last night that we were able to settle on a name.

After the skies cleared up, we noticed the cat was using the downspout as a water fountain!  And not for 2 or 3 sips of water...we timed him and we went for over 3 minutes without taking a break from drinking the water as it ran out (cross your fingers that I can figure out how to download the video).  Finally, when he was done, he laid down IN the water and looked at us like "whaaaaaaat?".

Camelia had suggested we name the cat "h2o" because of his love for water.  Over the weekend, we found him walking INTO the sprinkler, laying in the sprinkler, laying in puddles, licking any surface that was wet--anywhere there was water he was there.

We tried calling him "h2o" but he didn't react at all...then we tried "Puddles" as it's related to water.  No response.  Justin suggested "Hydro" and that got us nowhere as well.

Justin and I really liked the connection to water so we got to thinking...what about the name "Moses"???  All ya Bible thumpers out there know what Moses is infamous for and per my Google research, the name means 'Saved by water.'

So far, the cat is responding to the name "Moses."  Camelia totally knew how to pick a fitting name for this cat!  I'm just hoping that he sticks around now that we went to all the work of finding him a name :-)

And if you're curious, the suggested names were:
Shadow  /  Ralph Macchio  /  Dewey  /  Marmaduke  /  Melky Cabrera  /  Mister Mister  /  Mr. Spot  /  Kevin  /  h2o  /  Grandpa  /  Miles  /  Monroe  /  Mortie  /  Mitch  /  Martin  /  Newsome  /  Nusum  /  Patch  /  Howie  /  Monte  /  Mr. Bigglesworth
